Training & Events
Training & Development Overview
Our core training programme is designed to equip members with the skills they need to successfully use HERA and FEDRA within their organisations.
In addition, we offer training and special events to help influence thinking and develop ways of introducing improvements to people management practice, whilst encouraging the sharing of ideas and thinking between ECC members.
As an ECC member you can book two free places on any of our nationally advertised events (subject to availability).

Introduction to Role Analysis
ECC and HERA/FEDRA Principles
We recognise that some people need to understand HERA or FEDRA as part of their job but won’t be responsible for scoring roles. So, we’ve created a shorter module focussing on the background and principles of the HERA and FEDRA schemes.

Session 1 - 2.5 hours
Sessions 2 & 3 - 3 hours each
Role Analyst Training
We’ve redesigned our role analysis training into shorter modules to make it easier for learners to absorb the information and participate in exercises in a virtual setting.

All potential Role Analysts must complete all 3 modules.
-
Session 1 - Stage One 'Aware'
-
Session 2 - Stage Two 'Module 2a'
-
Session 3 - Stage Two 'Module 2b'
These modules will equip learners with detailed information about the scoring methodology as well as giving opportunity to practice using the tools. Once completed, the learner will become an Approved Role Analyst.

Role Analyst Practice Workshop
We’ve also added a new optional session - Role Analyst Practice Workshop. Each session is hosted by a skilled ECC Trainer and examines one role outline or job description, with an opportunity to delve into the scoring methodology and ask further questions.

The practice session timing is flexible, so you can book onto this session any time after completing your role analyst training if you would like more support or practice.

Stage Three - ‘Administer’ is a session aimed at individuals who will or have become ECC Online Administrators within their organisation. The session focuses on navigation of the administration functions and gives time for questions and answers.
