Dear ECC Members,
At long last we are pleased to say that migration of member data to the new ECC Online software system is complete. Out target was to carry out the last batch migration of member data on 12 June and we did just that.
Of course none of this would have been possible without the engagement, patience and work done by you, our members. On behalf of ECC and the Project Team specifically, I would like to say a really big thank for the positive way in which you have worked with us over the last ten months.
I also need to say a thank you to the members who joined our Project Development and Test group and whose contribution has helped to shape ECC Online. Last but not least a thank you to DCSL for interpreting the design ideas, adding their own, and building a really good product.
However, this is not the end of the process, there is still work to be done! A deliberate decision was made early this year to delay some of the system functionality until after migration was complete, so we will now start working on the system tweaks and enhancements already identified.
I am also aware that reports still need some refinement. Although these have been tested it isn’t until they are used in a live environment with the variety and complexity of member data that some of the ‘bugs’ become apparent.
Please keep feeding back any system and report issues via the software@ecc.a.c.uk email account so that these can be addressed.
In order to support the usage of the new system a programme of webinars has been put together covering a range of topics ranging from setting up and scoring a role, down to specific areas of functionality such as use of the bulk edit function or Work flow set up. The programme is attached and can also be found on the ECC Website. Each topic/session will also be available as a recording to watch at your leisure if you are unable to access the webinar.
