Dear ECC member,

ECC Conference: Engagement Reimagined: Relationships, Retention and Performance

I am delighted to let you know that registration for our annual conference is now open!

Following last year’s successful event this will once again be virtual, taking place on Thursday 24th November.

Employees of ECC member organisations can attend at no charge.

We have a fantastic programme lined up for you, offering a mix of workshops and keynote speakers. Our workshops are interactive, informative sessions and our keynote speakers are leaders in their fields:

  • Gavin Oattes (Tree of Knowledge)
  • Professor Mary Stuart (University of Lincoln)
  • Professor Eddie Obeng (Pentacle The Virtual Business School)

Please head to the event website for the full programme.

The networking opportunities on the platform we are using are incredible, and include a virtual development area, a networking carousel and the functionality to arrange private meetings or "speed dates". All of this whilst never having to leave the event platform!

As a valued ECC member we hope you will be planning to attend.

Often we fall into the trap of multitasking when attending virtual events and not paying our full attention to the sessions, but we have some great keynote and workshop sessions that we don't want you to miss out on!

Please try to follow the below tips (where possible), to make the most of attending this year's conference:

  • Block time out in your diary for the conference, like you would if it was a face-to-face event, to avoid meetings overlapping sessions
  • Work from home, if possible, or find a quiet place in the office to avoid interruptions
  • Turn off notifications or close down your Microsoft Teams and emails
  • Move your phone away from your desk to avoid distractions
  • Use headphones to keep your attention on the session
  • Dress as you would at an in-person conference, to help feel more involved
  • Plan questions to ask speakers in advance
  • Take notes to retain more information

Bookings will close on 17th November 2022. We look forward to seeing you on the platform!

Regards,

Nicholas
