HERA and FEDRA,
the leading role analysis tools in education
HERA and FEDRA have long-established credibility as the leading role analysis schemes in use in HE and FE. They are analytical Role Analysis tools that comply with the standards advised by the EHRC and required by courts and tribunals. Their validity has never been questioned by an employment tribunal decision.

Training and Events
As an ECC member you can book two free places on any of our nationally advertised events (subject to availability). Our core training programme is designed to equip members with the skills they need to successfully use HERA and FEDRA within their organisations. In addition, we offer training and special events to help influence thinking and develop ways of introducing improvements to people management practice, whilst encouraging the sharing of ideas and thinking between ECC members.
Labour Market Data
Members can request up to six reports free of charge per year through our partner Incomes Data Research (IDR). Additional reports are available at a discounted rate for ECC members. A database of pay data reports, guidance and research reports and benchmark updates are also available to access online in our exclusive member area.
