Member networking events

We facilitate and support five special interest groups which enable members to share and exchange information, experience and keep up to date with best practice and emerging issues. Feedback shows that members find the events very valuable, welcoming the ability to network with peers and fellow professionals and to learn from the practical experience of others. Networking meeting agendas and topics are highly member-focused, and most are chaired by an ECC member.

Networking events are held at locations around the UK and are not limited by mission group which enables all members to get involved. Some of the networks also run JISCMail discussion groups to enable ongoing contact between meetings.

Current networks that we run or support include:

North Universities Reward Group – a long-established group of member universities primarily from the North of England, NURG provides a forum to exchange information and experience, and keep up to date with emerging ideas on all Reward matters.

Pensions Universities Group – this group shares information, ideas and news on pensions relevant to the sector, and usually meets three times a year. Locations vary.

Scottish FE Network Forum – chaired by ECC, this forum meets informally twice a year to discuss and exchange information and best practice in relation to FEDRA.

Scottish Human Resource Practitioners Network (SHRPN) - meets four times a year to discuss recent and forthcoming changes in HR and to give HR practitioners from the Scottish Universities to exchange information and share best practice.

South East Reward Network – our newest network, SERN shares information and solutions for member universities in London and the South East, focusing on current and future issues in relation to Reward.
