Susanne has over 20 years’ strategic and operational HR management experience gained in the Post Office, Policing, Local Government and for 19 years’ in Higher Education. Susanne is a Fellow of the CIPD and holds an IOSH Certificate in Health and Safety (Managing Safely).
She enjoys supporting managers to meet their business and legislative needs/requirements and draws upon substantial experience spanning the full range of HR services/interventions. These include HR strategy, Reward Strategy, Role Analysis, Senior Reward Solutions, staff Recruitment and Selection, developing occupational health units and Restructuring to enhance organisational change.
With employee relations experience, Susanne has a strong interest in working collaboratively with the trades unions, employee engagement and Inclusion.
Areas of particular interest include: building professional networks that facilitate success within the HR and pensions fields; project management; implementation of job evaluation and graded pay structures; organisational restructuring and role design; pensions auto enrolment and developing behaviours/competency frameworks to support staff development and their rewards and recognition.
In her spare time Susanne is a member of St John’s College Council Durham and is learning to speak and write Mandarin and Bahasa Malay languages. She has firm links with Malaysia, a country she loves to visit as often as possible for family and development reasons.
