Kerry’s HR knowledge and experience has been gained in over 28 years of working within the HE sector. She is a chartered member of the CIPD.
Kerry was one of the first trained “expert users” for HERA, as she worked for one of the Universities that piloted and supported the development of the scheme.
Whilst working for ECC, Kerry has trained many hundreds of staff in role analysis and she has undertaken a number of projects supporting member organisations, in reviewing, developing and implementing Senior pay and reward solutions for Senior roles; she has supported the review/revision of local role evaluation procedures/grading and pay structures; and she has supported the development of generic role profiles
Before joining ECC Kerry worked for a member university, as the Senior HR Business Partner, leading the development and implementation of new grading and pay structures and the modernisation and harmonisation of terms and conditions of service for all staff (including Academic, Professional and Administrative, Technical and Facilities). Kerry has first-hand experience of delivering role analysis and database training and advice within a university, and as a member of the ECC team.
Kerry has a proven track record in supporting and successfully leading change management projects including restructuring, downsizing, redundancy, redeployment and TUPE. She has undertaken all levels of employment relations providing specialist advice and support to managers in dealing with people matters and liaising with trade unions.Kerry has a real passion for supporting, developing and empowering managers to manage staff more effectively through best practice and believes in developing or simplifying processes that help and support line managers.In her own time, Kerry is a keen cyclist, not only enjoying her local countryside but twice completing the 320 miles London to Paris Challenge, raising over £3,000 for charity.
